On becoming vegetarian

It's been a good day. I went to school, had lots of groups.... And then cooked dinner. Dinner was an easy recipe; penne pasta with asparagus and chicken. Lately I have been thinking a lot about becoming vegetarian again. I was a vegetarian for a long time and I felt good about it. I just don't feel comfortable eating meat. I'm ok with fish so maybe I'd keep fish in my diet.. But I would like to cut out chicken and turkey.

It wouldn't be too hard. For dinner tonight I set apart a portion for myself and added a chik patty (a veggie substitute) and it worked out fine! I could easily put tofu on the grocery list and make it for myself instead of eating turkey and chicken. I have to talk to my dietician about this but I'm hoping she will support me in switching to a vegetarian diet. I will figure it out. Ethically I just don't want to eat meat anymore. It doesn't feel right to me. I'm willing to spend the extra money on veggie products to stay healthy. And I have switched back to soy milk after trying almond milk for a couple weeks. Soy is just better for me. I like the taste and it has more nutrition. So it's a win win!

What do you think about being vegetarian? I know I can cut out meat and be healthy. It will be a little challenging with my housemates but I can make it work!
