I am at a barbecue for 4th of July, and it's a potluck which is always really overwhelming... I don't think I got in everything I needed for lunch. Low calorie veggie burger and bun, fruit salad and carrots. I am seeing now that I'm missing my fats. I tend to avoid fats. I made a pasta salad with a balsamic vinaigrette and served myself some, but the oil scared me so I threw the pasta away :( I know fat is good for you, especially things like olive oil and avocado... It's just high in calories and something I will have to overcome my fear of. The veggie burger tasted great! It just wasn't enough.
I baked banana muffins with walnuts again last night and I plan to have one for my snack. If I bake, I have to at least try what I've made! Otherwise it's kind of unhealthy... Baking for everyone else and not eating myself. I will eat a muffin.
The barbecue won't last too much longer. We will clean up in a little while and go home. And then fireworks tonight which I'm not too excited about because we have to take public transportation. Ugh. Oh well.
